Self-report instrument · v2.1 · 52 items · three lenses
Comprehensive edition — dispositional style, activation profile, and relationship-specific bonding
A single attachment "type" is a blunt instrument. This measure reads three layers: the way you tend to relate, how conditional that pattern is on whether a person feels safe, and what happened inside one specific bond.
Anxiety and avoidance across your relationships — placing you among secure, anxious, dismissive, and disorganized.
Whether your insecurity is trait-stable or switched on by an unsafe partner — and whether your response is a readable rule or true disorganization.
One relationship, scored across love-bombing, intermittent reinforcement, reset-without-repair, power imbalance, and entrapment.
How to answer. Six choices per item, Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree — no neutral middle, so each item asks you to lean. Items appear in mixed order, and some are worded in reverse, so read each one; their subscales are revealed only in your results. For Lenses 1 & 2, answer for how you generally are across relationships. For Lens 3 you'll hold one specific relationship in mind.
This instrument is provided for general educational and self-reflective purposes only. It is not a medical device, a psychological or clinical assessment, or a diagnostic tool, and it is not a substitute for professional evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified health-care or mental-health provider. Your use of it does not create any clinician–client, therapist–patient, or other professional relationship.
The subscales, scores, thresholds, and interpretive text are derived from published psychological constructs but have not been clinically validated, standardized, or normed on any population. Any reliability figures shown are produced by statistical simulation, not by data collected from respondents. Results describe general tendencies and patterns — not fixed traits, and not statements of fact about any identified person.
